LEADERSHIP

LEADERSHIP IS INFLUENCE

We want every student to have an influence in their environment that reflects how amazing Jesus is.

Student Leadership at Chi Alpha Normal.

At Chi Alpha, every student has an active role in making Jesus's kingdom known to the campus. But for those who want to go deeper, we invite them journey through the process of becoming a core group leader.

CORE GROUP LEADERS

We believe influence is having an effect on your classmates' and professors' character, development, and behavior. As Ezra 7:10 says, "For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel" (ESV). Core group leaders will be equipped to lead a small group of students each week, helping them study, do, and teach Jesus in their own lives.

Join Us For Our Annual Leadership Training Classes.

Responsibility comes at a cost. As you grow closer to Jesus and engage with his Word and world, it is your responsibility to share and live out this knowledge. Our eight week training class takes you through how to orient your life as an effective disciple-maker for the kingdom and lead a core group during the following academic school year. Leadership classes start in the spring semester and are a great way to grow in community with students who want real change on their campus.

Here's a Sneak Peak.

As a core group leader you will live by these six wins.

  1. Daily Devotion To Jesus

  2. Every Conversation Leads To Jesus

  3. Be With Your Small Group Outside of Small Group

  4. Honor People to Other People

  5. Delegate Responsibility to Create Maturity

  6. The Grit To Keep Going

"Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me" (John 15:4 ESV).

DON'T WAIT TO START.

True leadership, and therefore kingdom influence, is not a title or position: It's an attitude of servanthood and humility. Our core groups are designed to help empower students to fully know their gospel identity and share this great news with their campus. Throughout the year, you will be challenged by your core group to start serving the campus even before leadership training classes. Ask your core group leader about our BELLS discipleship method today to start bringing Jesus to others even now.
